Rangely Colorado

Braxton got to go to his new area on March 30. It took him 5 hours to drive to his new area. He said it was crazy but didn't say why. Hopefully that will be in a future email. He is in Rangely, Colorado with the Rangely 1st and 2nd ward. He is in a trio right now. His companions are Elder Little and Elder Smith.

He says they have met some ward members and come less active members in the area. They have also met some people out on the streets and he says it has been a little nerve racking. This week, they were going to check up on a less active member and found that they had moved. They met a nice lady named Penny that now lives there. She wants them to come back at some point so they are hoping that turns into a good thing.

I asked Elder Panter the funniest thing that has happened and he said that Elder Little and Elder Smith both got the stomach flu this week. They had to stay in most of Sunday, and he said they are both funny when they are sick. Coming from a mom, stomach flu is not funny. Hopefully it doesn't pass on to Brax.

Elder Panter said that one of the things he has learned so far is that you just have to go and do. Don't let fear rule your life in things you do and things you say, because that is the devil trying to stop you from making someone's life better.

I love the growth that I already see in him. I know he feels like it has been crazy trying to figure things out, but he will get the hang of it.

A fun story from my end... during conference on Saturday, I was missing Brax like crazy. I hadn't heard from him and didn't even know where in Colorado he was. It was really hard on me. I told Clint's mom, Trina, that I just wanted to know he was ok.  I said a quick prayer that Heavenly Father would please let me know that Brax was ok and that someone was feeding him and he was able to watch conference. Within 30 minutes of my prayer, I received a text from one of the members in Dinosaur, Colorado saying that she had met my son and he was in her home sharing a meal and watching conference with them. She sent me some pictures as well. Talk about an answered prayer! We truly are the Lord's servants and we help him answer prayers. I was so thankful for this Sister Angel!!!
